« I wanted to create a minimal language and dialogue using elements that reveal s sensitivity to texture, shape and highlighting the stories they embed. My works is a commentary on the individual versus the collective,an examinaz’tion of the relationship humans have with the nature and the environment.
In an anarchic process, I use virgin wool , threads, recycled plastic and heterogeneous objects recovered , assembled, wrapped in ropes and cordes.The work is ready and open to a multitude of interpretations. They are enigmatic or magical like talismans.
Kiasuwa has exhibited internationally and draws inspiration from Europe, U.S and Africa through her nomadic existence as a citizen of the world."
